Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is BYD Auckland, part of the Andrew Simms Group.

2. Competition Period
The competition opens at 3:00pm on Saturday 14 February 2026 and closes at 11:00pm on Sunday 12 April 2026 (“Competition Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be valid.

3. Eligibility

  • Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.
  • Employees of the Andrew Simms Group are not eligible to enter.
  • The winner must hold a current full New Zealand driver licence to be eligible to use the vehicle.

4. How to Enter
Entry details will be outlined on the competition landing page. Only one entry per person is permitted.

5. Prize
The prize includes:

  • One weekend use of a BYD vehicle, collected Friday afternoon and returned Monday morning.
  • The BYD model provided is at the discretion of BYD Auckland and subject to availability.
  • One night of glamping-style accommodation for two people at (accommodation name).

6. Accommodation Booking

  • Accommodation will be booked directly by BYD Auckland.

  • One weekend is defined as one (1) night’s accommodation for two (2) people.
  • The weekend must be booked and taken prior to 31 October 2026, subject to availability.

7. Prize Conditions

  • The prize is not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
  • Any additional costs incurred (including but not limited to fuel/charging, food, travel expenses, bond requirements, or incidental costs) are the responsibility of the winner.
  • Vehicle use is subject to BYD Auckland’s standard vehicle loan terms, insurance conditions, and responsible use requirements.

8. Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries after the competition closes.
  • The winner will be contacted using the details provided at entry.
  • If the winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, the promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.

9. Publicity
By entering, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activity related to the competition, including social media or website content, without additional compensation.

10. General

  • The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances arise beyond its control.
  • The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
